The GenAI landscape is evolving too quickly for any one model to maintain a permanent lead. Enterprises should build an AI strategy that embraces flexibility.   • The “Picks and Shovels” Remain a Critical Investment: The entire GenAI ecosystem relies on a foundational layer of enabling technologies. This includes the specialized hardware (e.g., NVIDIA’s GPUs), the MLOps platforms for model deployment and management, data labeling and annotation services, and the emerging category of AI governance, security, and compliance tools. These “picks and shovels” represent a durable, long-term investment theme that is less susceptible to the volatility of which specific model is currently leading in performance benchmarks.

This includes both unique, real-world data that is difficult to replicate and, critically, a superior capability to generate high-quality, domain-specific synthetic data.
