From June 15 to August 12, 2025, my internship at Gurkha Technology turned out to be one of the most enriching and transformative experiences of my academic and professional journey. Unlike many internships where students are given repetitive tasks with limited learning opportunities, my time at Gurkha Technology was dynamic, challenging, and full of opportunities to work on real projects.
From day one, I felt involved and valued. My supervisors encouraged me to take initiative, share my ideas, and explore areas of digital marketing and technology that interested me. Over the course of two months, I gained hands-on experience in SEO, content creation, brand auditing, chatbot development, and AI-assisted marketing tools—skills that I know will benefit me throughout my career.
Laying the Foundation – The Google Fundamentals of Digital Marketing Course
The first step in my internship was completing the Google Fundamentals of Digital Marketing course, a 40-hour certification program covering essential topics such as:

Conducting a Digital Brand Audit for Gurkha Technology
One of my first major assignments was to conduct a Digital Brand Audit for Gurkha Technology itself. This involved a detailed evaluation of:

Through this project, I learned how professionals assess a brand’s digital footprint, identify areas for improvement, and recommend actionable strategies. It gave me insight into how theory translates into practice, and how data-driven analysis supports better marketing decisions.
From Idea to Reality – Developing a Chatbot
While working on the brand audit, I realized that adding a chatbot could significantly enhance customer engagement and provide faster responses to visitor queries. I pitched this idea to my supervisor, and to my delight, it was approved for development.
I used Chatfuel to create the chatbot, designing conversational flows that could answer common questions, guide users through services, and even collect contact information for follow-ups. We tested the chatbot’s responses to ensure accuracy and helpfulness. Watching this project go from a simple concept to a fully functional customer service tool was one of the most rewarding experiences of my internship at Gurkha Technology.
Performing a Content Gap Analysis
Another valuable task I took on was conducting a Content Gap Analysis of Gurkha Technology’s website. Using the sitemap as my guide, I reviewed every page to identify missing or underdeveloped sections. Some of the gaps I discovered included:

Creating a FAQ Section with AI Assistance
To improve customer support and provide quick answers to potential client queries, I worked on creating a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section. I first brainstormed the most common questions customers might have about Gurkha Technology’s services. Then, I used Notebook LLM—an AI-powered tool—to generate accurate, well-structured answers.
This was my first time integrating AI into content creation, and I was impressed by how it made the process faster while maintaining quality. It also opened my eyes to the potential of AI in digital marketing, especially for automating repetitive tasks without losing the human touch.
Writing Blogs and Learning SEO in Action
Blogging was another exciting part of my internship at Gurkha Technology. One of my favorite assignments was writing the post titled “The Future of Digital Marketing in Nepal: Trends for 2025.” This allowed me to apply SEO best practices I had learned—starting with keyword research, structuring content for readability, and optimizing titles and meta descriptions for search engines.
Through this process, I understood the importance of balancing quality writing with technical SEO factors. Well-written content attracts readers, but optimized content ensures that it reaches them in the first place.
