My Internship Journey with GurkhaTechnology
Internships are more than just temporary roles they’re a chance to grow, explore, and transform. My internship experience, guided by the incredible mentorship of Arjan KC Sir, was a perfect blend of strategy, and creativity. From building a functional web app to diving into digital marketing principles, I was able to explore different dimensions of tech in a real world context.
Building PhysioRoutine: A Health-Focused Web App
My primary project was PhysioRoutine, a web application designed to help users manage and track their physiotherapy routines. I was responsible for designing and developing the core functionality that made the platform both helpful and intuitive. The project can be viewed through physioroutine
Key Features I Developed:
- Routine Management: Add, edit, and delete therapy routines
- Progress Tracking: Store and view daily progress using local storage
- Favorites & Personalization: Save preferred exercises for quick access
- user friendly UI: Built responsive components
This project helped me sharpen my skills and deepen my understanding of user-centric design. It also taught me how to debug better, structure code efficiently.
Exploring the Digital Marketing Ecosystem
Alongside coding,I engaged myself in learning the fundamentals of digital marketing which is a 40h course which gave me a broader perspective on how technology connects with people, especially in competitive online spaces. The quote from the course ‘It’s not how you build, but how you show it in the market’ inspired me to understand that creating a product isn’t enough; how you present it matters just as much. I learned many key concepts like search engine optimization , keyword research and several marketing funnels. This foundation helped me better connect the dots between what we build and how users discover it.
Writing Technical Blogs: Learning Through Teaching
Writing became a powerful learning tool during my internship. I published several blogs to share what I was learning with a broader audience, especially beginners in tech .
Blogs I Wrote:
- GitHub Copilot Review: My honest experience with the AI coding assistant
- How Search Engine Works: A guide tailored for Nepali users
- How to Create a Discord Bot from Scratch: A beginner-friendly tutorial for aspiring bot developers
Writing these articles helped me improve my creativity, break down complex ideas clearly, and contribute to the tech community.
What is feels like working in remote internship
During my internship at Gurkha Technology, I had the opportunity to work entirely remotely my first experience being part of a real tech company from home. While the flexibility and freedom of remote work were empowering, it also introduced challenges like isolation, reduced social interaction, and occasional communication gaps. Without the structure , I had to develop strong self-discipline, proactively communicate progress, and solve problems independently. Check-ins with Arjan KC Sir provided essential guidance and kept me aligned . His mentorship and support helped me stay motivated and accountable. Through this experience, I learned that resilience, adaptability, and effective communication are key to thriving in remote environments, and that meaningful growth can happen just as much beyond the office walls.
Key Takeaways from My Internship
- Adaptability: Whether it’s coding or marketing, the ability to learn fast is everything.
- Empathy: Thinking like the user makes a huge difference in the design process.
- Writing is Powerful: It clarifies thought, shares knowledge, and builds credibility.
- Connection and communication are essential : guidance from someone experienced can completely reshape your path.

I’m deeply thankful to Gurkha Technology for creating such a valuable platform to learn and grow. And to Arjan KC Sir thank you for your leadership, encouragement, and belief . Your mentorship truly made this journey transformative.
What’s Next?
As I move forward in my tech career, I carry with me the lessons, skills, and values I’ve gained through this internship. I’m more confident, more curious, and more committed than ever to building things that matter.
This was not just an internship. It was the beginning of something bigger.
