However first things first, what is a verified page and what does it mean to have a tick mark on your facebook page??

What is a verified page? 

A blue tick or a verified page means that Facebook thinks the particular profile or page is the actual representation of the original brand or public personality on Facebook. The blue tick mark is the sign of genuinity. Facebook verifies some pages and profiles to let its users know that they’re authentic pages and profiles.

Having a blue badge on a Page or profile means that Facebook has confirmed that this is the authentic Page or profile for the particular public figure, media company or brand. Here are the requirements:

1. You will need an existing public page under your name (you can’t use your personal page or profile).
2. The page will need to have a history of native content posted to it.
3. You will also need to collect some media references that have your name or image.
4. You will require an official website.

6. The Facebook Mentions Application. (Download it from the store)

Step 1: Make sure your page is on the category as mentioned above. Change it if you do not fit under the criteria.

Step 2: Under awards mention the media coverage that you had filled with links. Media can include newspaper articles and other mentions.

Step 3: Make sure your page has details filled up. Try writing a long and comprehensive bio.

Step 4: The mentions app works with verified pages. Select “My page is not yet verified” from the list that comes up.

Step 5: In the form that loads, fill up your details and upload your scanned ID. Along with that do not forget to choose your page.

For the gray tick

Regarding the Gray tick mark, this facebook page verification feature is not yet available in our region. Therefore if you want to verify a companies will have to wait some time for applying for the gray tick mark or the verified status.
