Taragaon museum hosting ancient sketches by Raj Man Singh Chitrakar. The sketches are 170 years old and let us experience the monuments of Kathmandu Valley as they were 170 years ago. We were fortunate enough to be a part of the exhibition organized at Taragaon Museum, Hyatt Regency Kathmandu.

The exhibition is on till the 16th of December, 2016. It is free entrance and a must see for all of those who would like to know where we came from. The exhibition helps to bring out a fresh perspective upon the ancient traditions and culture that were prevalent in this part of the globe.

The exhibition is jointly organised by the Taragaon Museum and Madan Puraskar Pustakalaya.

All the sketches are from the mid 19th century.

Stamp of History: No one really knows what Rajman Singh looked like, but this is how Madan Chitrakar imagined him for a postage stamp in 2012.
